In PPT terms, the outlaw is the winner of the previous tournament and the bounty is paid to the player that knocks the outlaw out.

The bounty is set at the price of one entry, normally $25, and is paid to the player that successfully eliminates the winner of the previous tournament. The bounty is taken from the total payout pool, therefore, final payouts to players at the end of the days tournament will be reduced by that amount.

In the event of a split pot that also eliminates the outlaw, the bounty will be split evenly between all winning players in the hand.

Also, in the event that the winner of the previous tournament is not eliminated and eventually wins the tournament, the bounty is carried forward to the next tournament increasing the bounty on that outlaw.

If the outlaw is unable to play in the next tournament, the outlaw will be considered outside the jurisdiction of the tournament and the tournament will be played without a bounty.  The prize money for the bounty will be added to the total payout for the tournament.

The year will be split into 4 quarters of 5 or 6 tournaments each.

Points will be awarded based on the following schedule.

1 point will be earned for each PPT event you play in
1 point will be earned for each player you beat at a PPT event
1 bonus point will be earned every time you win the bounty
10 bonus points will be earned for finishing 1st in a PPT event
5 bonus points will be earned for finishing 2nd in a PPT event
3 bonus points will be earned for finishing 3rd in a PPT event
1 bonus point will be earned for any in the money finish other than 1st, 2nd or 3rd in a PPT Event

At the end of the quarter, a champion will be crowned and our points will be reset to zero. All but your lowest finish will be counted with a missed tournament counting as 0. That way we can miss 1 tournament per quarter and still compete for the championship. As an added benefit, players that join the tour mid-year will also be able to compete for the championships.

At the end of the year, we will crown a Grand Champion, awarded to the player with the highest point total for all 4 quarters.

Participation in the WSOP Entry will not be required to be crowned Champion.

WSOP Entry

For those members that choose to participate, we will also be competing for an entry into the 2008 WSOP $1500 NLH event. We will be sending at least 1 champion, however depending on the level of participation; we might be able to send 2. The fee for participation will be the same as last year, $10 per tournament entered.

The 1st player we send will be selected by way of a playoff of the top 6 members. Players will be selected as follows:

1. Grand Champion (Highest points earner for the entire year)
2. Quarter 1 Champion
3. Quarter 2 Champion
4. Quarter 3 Champion
5. Quarter 4 Champion
6. Grand Champion 1st Runner Up (Next highest points earner for the entire year)

In the event a qualifier has not elected to participate or a member qualifies for more than one entry, the position will be filled by the next highest points earner.

In the event we are able to send a 2nd player, the Grand Champion will automatically earn a WSOP entry and will not participate in the playoff tournament. The 6th playoff seat will be filled with the next highest points earner for the year.
